Casa Reutter by Architect Mathias Klotz

Designed by Mathias Klotz Architect, Reutter House or Casa Reutter is located off the coast of Cachagua in V Region of Chile. The Reutter house is located along a terrain with average slope and located between two streets. One of the highlights is the decision to locate the house in the length of the field and among the existing pines, freeing the rest of the site and getting the best views.

The access is at the top of the land and the house, through a ramp of 30 m. which flows into the upper terrace by way of a large deck that opens onto the sea. One noteworthy aspect is as the house settles on the ground. The house rests on a keel that holds a concrete slab and two volumes of the steel structure cantilevered and covered with wood and copper, which balances and tensions evident worked on the project.

Another remarkable aspect is its construction as a hierarchy of elements finely resolved and prepared, the draft major elements are understood and forthright as the keel of concrete and steel structure exposed to end in a fine grid that holds the wooden tables make lattice.
